I have a DB of approx. 3500 records, many of which are incorrect due to a problematic import. I’d like to try again, but have found that the import is creating duplicates, and the problem is getting worse.

I tried selecting all stores and deleting so that I could start from scratch, but even after deleting, the records remain.

Is there a simple and effective way of deleting all records at once?

You need to provide information abut your SLP environment to get a correct answer. You find it under SLP > Info > Plugin Environment tab. Read more on the forum guide.

I never heard of duplicats and posts remaning after delete. Always backup your database before you do someting.

If someting is not correct with your install or you need to clean someting out there is a free SLP addon called Janitor that can reset your options.

You can also use any SQL tool to delete all posts in the table [store_locator] and that would do what you are asking for.

It would be nice if there were a way to delete without directly editing the tables, but if that’s the best way, can you point me to a tool for interacting with the SQL directly?

    Stop Stop., Keely

You need to update ProPack to 4.3.02 before you try importing, exporting etc.

You are going to have even more problems by mixing SLP base plugin versions 4.3.xx  with 4.2 of addons

P.S. We are on SLP 4.3.24 as of today…so please update SLP and then update ProPack to 4.3.02

Fantastic. Now back to the original question, you want to delete all the locations. First export if you want to keep what is already there that is not incorrect, fix the tables to CSV file format. There is a setting in ProPack Import function about duplicates (see the Documentation about Imports and Exports)

If it was a really bad import and there are ghosts in the machine the Janitor might be the best option still. I do not know specific SQL tools, perhaps Piani can point you to one, or research in WordPress to see what is recommended.
