We have 2 tagalong categories. Each have a different custom location PIN marker.

If I make an edit to a location that’s already create, it then defaults the location  PIN  to the classic blue marker.

I cant figure out how to make it stop doing this because every time, i have to delete this location and recreate.

We have slp pro, tagalong, em, er and few others

    Ryan,

We need your Plugin Environment please. I cannot tell what you are using nor versions and it matters if we are trying to assist you with issues.  Sometimes there are updates  to the add-ons that people are unaware of.  There have  also  been major WP updates.  As you probably know: The latest WP updates created issues with some other plugins that cause a ripple effect due to poorly constructed themes or outdated jquery.   So it is pretty much impossible to assist you without your version  information or your site url.  You say you are using ProPack , Tagalong , EM ER..etc. Those are  considered Legacy add-ons. and they may behave differently  with SLP 4.5.06..  ProPack should be on a version 4.5.xx as well.   I do not see any purchases of the referenced Add-ons by you  so I assume it has been a very  long time ago or the purchases were made under a different name??

I have Experience and Power add-ons loaded on my site so I cannot recreate your issues and need more information.

Please see Posting Guidelines.  I believe we have been through the Posting guidelines and info needed  from either you and/or your predecessor before.

the only suggestion I can provide without info from you:

Upon inspecting some sites that people believe  are up to date , I find failed warnings, resources cant load issues etc..and errors in their console because their icons or markers are in an http directory file path  and they are using https or vs vs.   That’s all the stips  I can provide without more info or your site url.

Here is an example of what I am talking about, someone else who glommed onto one of your other posts so not sure it it was a colleague of yours:

ixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.chauvetprofessional.com/sales-network/dealers/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400italic,700italic,800italic,400,700,800’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

jquery.js:1 Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user’s experience. For more help, check https://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.

jquery.js:1 Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.chauvetprofessional.com/sales-network/dealers/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint ‘http://www.chauvetprofessional.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/all.png’. Hi Cici,

Sorry I did not see these replies til now… as it didn’t notify me.

This is actually for another client now and this is the page I speak of. Scroll down to bottom and you will see it has some locations has the default blue pin:

They turn to that pin once I edit that location..

Are you re- selecting the marker when you change , edit or add location?

I see on your site when I inspect that line it is showing that you have chosen :http://www.gkindllc.com/wp-content/plugins/store-locator-le/images/icons/bulb_azure.png

When you edit the location make sure you have selected or have the url for the marker set. Suggest you check your directory path if you have your own icons markers stored somewhere, and be sure you are not trying to access them over the mixed content.

If this issue is specific to only one site with its own theme, check the scripts and jquery versions (See Lances Post)

I cant test it out on my site because you are using the old ES,ER,EM and I do not have those on my test site any longer as they were retired and are LEGACY

You mentioned for a “different client”: You should buy   SLP add-ons for each client or have a Premier subscription license if you are designing for multiple sites. See EULA. I do not see any  orders for the plugins under your name, perhaps they are bought under a different name, your clients name?  Either way you should update to the EXPERIENCE ADD-ON that works with SLP 4.5.xx versions,

The  old add-ons will work but they will not be updated and are only being looked at for major bug fixes..  At the beginning SLP was updated, added on to, providing more and more features as add-ons were added, and added and added, and now Maintaining and supporting  20 different add-ons with  constant updates to work with  SLP, and the changes in the WordPress environment is eating up too much overhead and is not viable  (SEE FUTURE)
