    Hi,

Is there a way to create custom shortcodes ans to have custom search?

The way I want to use this plugin is that as a hobby I want to display location where it is possible to buy hot sauces, chili peppers, hot spices.

On my website I have 3 pages (sauces locator, pepper locator, spices locator).

On each of them, I would like to have a store locator shortcode that would search only for the category of the page. (like a hot sauce locator in the hot sauce page, a pepper locator in the pepper page, etc…) This would be done (i guess) with a custom shortcode

    ex: <span style=”color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, ‘Bitstream Charter’, serif; line-height: 1.5;”>[STORE-LOCATOR ID=37] </span>

Or, the other way would be to have a single locator with check box to choose what the user would like to search for and script would only display what user checked.

But this is what I would need to do.

You may want to try tagalong. /product/slp4-tagalong/

    This will allow you to:

    • Assign flat or hierarchical categories to your locations.
    • Add category search options to your locator.
    • Create category-specific maps on  your site.
    • Display custom per-category map markers.
    • Display a per-location category icon array in the results.

You could use a different icon for each category, hot sauces, chilli peppers, etc.
